My father left me this in his will. Could anyone identify the model and year (is it 1932 as stamped on the case). It is has an 18K case and strap. I imagine it needs work - it runs but the face is rather dirty/worn. This is a UK watch   |

I will need the movement serial number to date it (probably late 1950s), the 1932 is most likely the model number. It will probably not have a model name. |

Hi Zaf, the movement serial number is 1721832 and there's a number on the back of the case which is 991815. Would you advise having the watch restored or would it be better to keep it original - and just have it cleaned? Jeremy |

I think for this particular watch, restoring the dial would not adversely impact the value of the watch (assuming it's done competently.) |
