Just posted a request for assisatnce fater I saw my Reverso had been badly repaired (Reserv de Marche only 26 h instead of 42...).

It was on the site, but is no more... Censored (why?) or technical failure?

No censure, just you got us in the middle of a board move... I'm still working on it, so service may be a little disrupted. I saw your initial post, can you clarify how old your reverso is?

Hi Zaf,

Thank you for your answer.
The Reverso is 8 years old, I bought it new, and never expereinced any problem until the spring broke last month.

It has a Classique mechanical 846 calibre.

Before the "repair" it has a reserve de marche of 42 hours (even 44 when brand new...), so I was quite surprised when it stopped after 26 hours...

No other symptoms, the precision seems as before perfect.

Can a wrong spring have been mounted? Or can the spring be a deficient one?

Thanks you for your time and best regards,

Franck

Is it always stopping at 26hrs +/- 1 hour? If so I think the mainspring is to blame.

Which country are you located?

Yes, it is always stopping at 26 hours and ca. 20 minutes...( But I only tested it 3 times)

I'm located in France.

Ok, I'd say the mainspring is to blame. Give your watchmaker another chance, it's pretty easy to replace with another one, and know that he knows of the problem, I'm sure he'll double check it.

If it doesn't work, I know of a repair shop Paris, if that is where you are, that you can use.
