this JLC is NOS in both boxes with original JLC band (leather under, suede upper) and signed buckle.

watch is 14kt solid, (on back)and also says, and I am only guessing here as it is still in the store, S&W, in small letters next to the 14 kt.

tag (still on it) says LeCoultre, 1424955 . G

watch is BEAUTIFUL, pristine and unused. Silver dial and appox. 35 mm's large.
If someone can help on this with out a picture, could you please let me know what is the age and what is something like this worth?

I hope I did not pay too much but I did get it from a reputable company that I know and think I got a good deal!

thanks in advance to all who can help

Looks like an early 1960s watch, so what you have is could be the movement number which would date to about 1960. It it is a case serial, it probably dates to about 1970. Seems to my an early thin dress watch in 14k, American market, it isn't all that desriable other than it is NOS. So I'd say it's worth $600-900. It all depends on how much value you attach to it being NOS. I'd be more on the lower side myself.

they want $1000.00 for it, coming down from an initial asking price of $1400.00. They are contacting the owner for me because they think he has the original papers that came with it when he purchased it new.

Would having the papers too make it worth more $$$?

If I buy it I will throw it in the safe and never wear it, keeping it NOS for the future.

So the big question is - will this appreciate over time if I cannot get them to come down any from the $1000.00?

thanks again!

Seems like way to much money for a 14k dress watch even if NOS, so unless it's fully complete, Box, papers, instructions, etc, $1000 is too much.

Hello - Q: what does NOS mean? I'm owner of a JLC Vogue (Date 1990) 18 Karat Gold - Serialno. S-502.24 I got it as agift for 25 years service in an american company (german depandance). What could it be worth ? (when times comes to distribute my heritage to children - so every one is treated equally)

Hi Axel,

NOS means *New Old Stock* ie. never used, still in condition as delivered.

Guess we can't quote a value for your watch without seeing a picture, but can try to find it in the catalogs when back to the office.
Hey, and please take you time with distributing your heritage. ;)

Hello Axel,

I havent found exactly your watch, just a similar
watch. Retail in 1987 was DEM 2980 (Quartz) DEM 4750 (Handwind).
Your dial layout is quite unusual, perhaps made for a limited or special (customer) series.
I have never seen such before.
Since we have nothing to compare Id give it a value of $800 - $1000 as a ball park figure.
If it is Quartz powered the price is significantly lower by 70%.

Dear Sir, I have just bought a 1955 9K Gold Jaeger Le Coultre with Turtle Lugs, 9K, with, If info is correct a P480/C movement. Calibre Serial No is 1055833. Watch is in almost mint condition, case diameter is on or a shade under 30mm. distance from Lug end to lug end is approx 36mm
Is this a man's watch, consistent with those from or as I fear, a 3/4 watch or ladies size?
I'd great welcome your thoughts and opinion. With kind regards
Phillip

Hello Ilja-
thanks a lot for your effort on the very special JLC Vogue - yes could very well be a special edition which the company from whom I got it had asked to produce. It is a quartz.
