i have a lecoultre futurematic that has a silver slider on the back of it! is this an old vintage piece? how old is it? what value does it have? IT IS A GOLD WATCH!!!

Your Futurematic dates from the 1950's. You can e-mail Jaeger-LeCoultre through their web site at:

Click on "contact" at the bottom of the page, then on item 3. "Historical Collection". They can provide information only on the date the movement was made, since the LeCoultre brand was made for export to the USA.

Also, there is vintage LeCoultre advertising all over eBay that can help you document an approximate date of sale.

I'm not an expert on valuation other than to say the values on these watches have been steadily rising over the last couple of years. Of course, value is largely based on condition.
