Hello everybody. This week I purchased this nice looking vintage 18K gold JLC watch with a caliber 800 CW according to the seller. Watch Bart However it was brought to my attention that parts were missing from the second hand (which obviously isn't there). Movement Bart Is it common practice to remove these parts? And is it possible to restore? I actually think the watch looks better without the second hand, but I want the watch to be complete. Thanks, |

In some cases movements were delivered without second hand drive train, but mainly sub second rectangular movements. In this particular case the parts seem to be removed by an unskilled person as you can see a scratch. Finding the parts will be a challenge, perhaps buying a steel donor watch is your best bet. |
