Hello, first post to this forum, I have come across a Futurematic that has been confirmed solid 14k and currently will run but only for a short time. My jeweler has offered $300 to buy, or $200 to repair, it will need a good cleaning on the inside and the plating is off on the hands (he recommending replacing the hands.) My question is: Is it worth repairing? or should I leave as is and just try to sell it. How much is it worth repaired/as is? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks, Danny |

Well worth repairing at that price, make sure your watchmaker has some experience with the Futurematics. These are not easy watches to service and parts are difficult, if not impossible to source. IMO, he was really lowballing you on the price to buy, assuming the case was 14K. I know that Zaf (the moderator) does a good job on Futurematics. Drop him a line. Good luck, gatorcpa PS - If your watchmaker doesn't have the correct hands in stock, I'd leave those on there, or at least keep them in case you ever do want to sell. Replacing the hands will kill the value. |

Yes no problem for the repair, but generally speaking I charge more than $200, but I know what I'm doing. $300 offer for the watch is a total low ball, yes. |

Reminder: This is not a sales forum. Please no offers to buy or sell. Thanks. |
