Generally speaking 2xx calibers are used in small clocks. I don't see what it can be.

I 200k serial number is a circa 1942 watch, I don't see an automatic watch with a 200k serial as being possible. They didn't make anything automatic until several years later.

I'm not sure what that is, if any thing it is a JLC "Club" series watch with an A. Schild movement (i.e. from the 1970s which were the dark ages for JLC in which they used generic movements, not in house ones). Value is around $300-400 and not particularly collectible. Stay away. Get your self a real JLC, for the 950 GBP that thing is listed for, you can do much much better for yourself.

Dear Zaf

Many thanks for your help

I have sent the numbers to JLC but have not heard from them.

I certainly will not buy any watch until Y am absolutely sure of it's provenance

Again many thanks for all your help and advice

Tony

Even if it is what I think it is, it's totally overpriced by at least a factor of 3.

You're much better off spending the money on something that has a JLC caliber in it.
