Late 1931 to Early 1933. It has a Tavannes movement. I don't know if the hands are original. Maybe Ilja has an opinion?

The movement in fact is a Tavannes 064. From the bridge layout it seems to be a "DeLuxe" version.
Identical hands are shown in the Reverso book, so far this would be the 2nd or 3rd I see, having this hands.
The crown isnt original. Dial probably is redone since it should additional read DeLuxe, based on the movement.

Tavannes Reversos are a bit less collectable because of the movement. On the other hand these are the very first Reversos, so they are more historical important...
Depending on conditon they sell between $1600 and $2500.

Ilja

Hi Ilja and Zaf,
I'm getting confused: someone told me that is not a Lecoultre since it has a Cyra movement.
can you help me get things straight??
Thanks
jacopo

Good Question. It was assembled in the LeCoultre factory, but the early ones had a Tavannes movement and Wenger made the case. LeCoultre did not have a movement that fit until 1933, after which the movement was a LeCoultre. Jacques-David LeCoultre was heavily involved in it's development, so yes, it is a LeCoultre, but the first ones used a non-LeCoultre movement.

But is it Cyra and Tavannes the same thing?

Yes, Cyma was a brand name of the Tavannes watch
company.
