I hope I've attached this correctly (my first try). Is this real or fake? It was recently offered on eBay, but has now expired. |

As an addendum to the above, it was offered at a "buy it now" price of $1,995. I offered $1,950 and got it. It looks pretty good, but the the date is at 6 O'clock rather than 3. All of the (admittedly few) world timers I have seen have had the date at 3. I know a few people in my area (dealer and a watchmaker) who could probably determine it's authenticity. Case is 14k gold. |

I noticed this watch when it was listed. It appears correct to me. It is a model that was offered as a worldtime from the factory and the worldtime dial on the watch has not been refinished, so I believe you acquired one of the FEW original worldtimes (most are refinished or frankenwatches) offered on eBay. Thanks, Greg, you've made my day. This site had made me aware of the dangers of buying JLC worldtime watches. I still intend to show it to the people I mentioned previously. They are real experts, and I enjoy showing them my acquisitions. |
