I am considering purchasing the watch in the picture. single owner and working, but some obvious damage on the dial.

Can anyone give me an approximate value (we think it is from apprx. 1948) in this condition?
how much should I look to pay restoring the dial?

thanks in advance.

1948 is a reasonable guess, dial restoration can be $25 to $200 depending on the quality of the work. Value if 18k gold, as it is, is probably about $500.
