I recently acquired a Jaeger LeCoultre pocket watch. From the photos I had thought that it had a white dial with a discoloured crystal. On arrival I found that the dial was actually a bluish/green colour. The movement is 467/2 which seems OK. The case has 6E/50 and British army arrow which again seems OK. But this dial colour has thrown me. Anyone got any ideas?dial

Hi. It does look like the original dial. How it got green is another story! These were inexpensive watches when they were made, I belive the initial order was for 30,000 watches. The dials today are rarely found in any kind of condition, and the cases are frequently beat up. The movements are nice however.

I suspect the radium of the hands & numerals decayed in a way that gave you dial a strange green color. I do believe it is the dial that came with the watch.
