Hello-

I am brand new to this forum. I found it while I was searching for parts for some watches I inherited. One of the watches is a LeCoultre powermatic watch. It was not working so I took it in to have it repaired. The repair guy told me that it is missing the wheel that drives the powermatic/power reserve function. He told me the part to look for is an upper satellite wheel for a Cal #481 movement. I would like to find one so that the watch will be fully functional. Can someone let me know where I might be able to find that wheel? Any information that you can provide me with would be appreciated. If anyone could also give me an idea as to how much the watch might be worth that would be appreciated as well. The back of the powermatic watch says that its 10K gold filled. I dont have the proper tool to open the case of the watch so I dont know the serial numbers but I could provide the numbers if need be. Thank you.power reserve

Does the reserve move at all if you try to wind it? Did your guy open the watch or he's guessing this is what it needs?

Hi Zaf. Yes he did open the watch to clean and repair it. He told me that the wheel was missing.

That would be great. Thank you Zaf. By the way, can you give me some idea as to the value of the watch if it's in perfect working order? I also have a LeCoultre memovox watch that I was thinking about selling but again I have no idea what it might be worth either. The back of the memovox watch says that its stainless steel with a 14K gold cap and it appears to be in great condition and in working order. I have attached a picture of the memovox watch.lecoultre memovox

Here is a picture of my lovely JLC powermatic. It is mint condidtion. Never used. Can anyone tell me an approximate date, value etc? I'm guessing early 50's. Description.

The Case
The crisp, provenance polished solid steel case is in excellent condition with only minor signs of wear. The polish bezel and shoulders and matt sides are in excellent condition. The case measures just under 33mm wide, excluding the winding crown and just over 39mm, including the lugs. The inside caseback is signed Jaeger Le Coultre Swiss and Acier Inoxyable. The outside carries the reference of '537395'.
The Movement
Jaeger movements are recognised as one of the highest quality in watchmaking and were used by Patek Phillipe. This jewelled automatic 'Bumper' movement has just been fully serviced by my professional watchmaker and is running beautifully. It is signed 'Fab Suisse', 'Jaeger Le Coultre', 'Automatic' and 'Swiss'.
The Dial
The original Jaeger signed ivory/white dial is deliciously elegant. The raise Arabic hour batons and matching gilt hands provide the subtlest contrast to the dial and case. It has the red power meter and is signed 'Jaeger Le Coultre', 'Automatic Fabrique En Suisse' and 'Swiss'.

Any ideas from this knowledgeable forum?
Many Thanks
Chris
