Hi guys, Im a rolex collector with a vintage JLC or LC, I cant remeber, on my mind for some years now : Some years ago I was looking at some ebay auctions(looking for rolexes, sorry) when this gorgeous vintage chrono caught my attention. It got me really exited as it was one of the most beautifull watches I had ever seen. The bid was around 3k and I placed 3,5k on it, almost certain that I would win. Unfortunatelly I didnt follow the closing minutes and someone else bought it. I decided I would just forget about it and go on with life. The problem is that I still cant take that watch out of my mind and Ive been searching for it for years without even finding something about it. I dont know the model, year or anything. I will try to describe it and if someone here know what Im talking about please give me some insight!! It was a big JLC or LC chrono, probably from the seventies and had a very silberteinish look(I mean, with curve hands, vibrant colours etc). Thank you very much!! Ian |

Are you sure it was a Chronograph? I mean, some years back those didnt sell for 3.5k except large 40s gold ones. Just a guess, perhaps you are talking about a Polaris, a mid 60s divers alarm with 3 crowns. |

Yes Zaf, looked something like this one...but one thing I remember for sure is that one of the main hands, either the seconds or the hours, wasnt straight..I mean something like a snake if you understand me. Thanks guys.. |

Snake hands is more a movado thing. I can't think of any JLC chrono with such a hand. Or maybe it was sold by our famous German24 seller, and in that case, anything is possible. Otherwise, I know of a V72 powered 70's JLC chrono just like Zaf's Bulova

CLAVI!Its the one! Im not sure if it is exactly the same watch but it is for sure the same model. It will make my search much easier! Im almost sure it had a unusual hand, something like a Milgauss hand but with curves instead of a lighting look. Thank you very much !!! |
