Hi everyone,

I'm new to this board but not new to vintage watches on the net.

I am trying to restore a pre-50's Jaeger Lecoultre manual mens watch and I'm missing a part.
Cal.p469/c

Does anyone know who I could speak to about this?

Thanks in advance.

regards

A.

I'll try and get some pics. it is a really neat watch.

I think it is called the Pull up piece/spring/bolt. It engages the hands when the crown is pulled up for time setting.

I'll get a picture of it for you. The spring has snapped but I have the main piece of the part.

regards

A.

Check this to find the parts specific name and part number:

http://www.jaeger-lecoultre.org/Caliber-details/Caliber_449_469.jpg

Zaf, the cal. 488 setting lever (#443) does not fit other 12 1/2" movements.
If you dont find the part, I can jump in with a canibalized movement.

Hmm...looks like you are missing about 8-10 parts. Your best bet is to buy an entire movement from a junk watch somewhere.

Hi, Sorry for being rude and not getting back.
The watch is being restored by a family friend who is not versed with the internet and so I needed to speak to him about what you have said. Sorry for miss-representing myself.

Apparently he has all of the parts you mentioned, the only part he needs is the damaged one in the picture. If anyone could help me out further I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks again for all of your help.

Regards

Alistair
