Did JLC make a 1980's quartz movement? No pictures for this one. The seller looks shady in the feedback. http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-VINTAGE-JAEGER-LECOUTRE-MENS-MONOGRAM-1980S_W0QQitemZ16 0139280547QQihZ006QQcategoryZ31387QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |

The watch pictured is quite genuine. In fact, I have a NOS case for this watch model in my parts bin. JLC made a number of quartz movements during that period (unfortunately) including the calibers 601 (not to be confused with the rare cal 601 mechanical alarm variant of the cal 489), 602, 603, 605, 606, 608 & 609. There might have been others as well, but those are examples just off the top of my head. Greg |

Surprising. I have read the sellers neg and neut feedback and a high percentage are for phoney watch issues. The ones he does have that are real have high starting bids. This was started on another board. I happen to see the 80's JLC and at first glance it looked good. No movement picture from a pro usually makes me wonder. |

Nothing alarming with the watch and the seller is fine - I bought some items from him in the past and never had any problems. |
