JLC men's 18K yellow gold wristwatch serial number 1720472. Have you any information about this watch? Could it be a fake? THANKS!

If the serial is that of the movement, it would be about 1967. I can only date the movements. Do you have a picture? What makes you think it is fake?

Thanks, Zaf. A US auctioneer has it up for sale soon and says it should sell for between $600-$700 US. Isn't that ridiculousy low for an 18kt gold JLC? thanks again (hope I'm not breaking any rules)

Not necessarily, if it's a small simple windup watch, then it can definitely be less than $800.
