There is a vintage military watch site that has a movement like mine (see photo) down as JLC. I'd like to hear from the knowlegdeable forumers whether this could be confirmed. Thank you in advance.

Why do you think this is a JLC movement? It looks generic Swiss to me.

Hello Zaf. There is a vintage military watch site with some of the very early ones and whoever has made that site has a precisely similar movement listed as JLC. The finish on this movement is very good. Also, JLC like many other companies made quite a few calibers in those days that would not be so easily recognisable as theirs. www.vintagemilitarywatches.com Check it out

Is this an "A. LeCoultre" movement? If so, the factory does not acknowledge them as LeCoultre from Le Sentier. I've seen them stamped A. LeCoultre, A. LeCoultre - Blancpain and even A. LeCoultre - Mathey.

Even if they are a LeCoultre product, in general, they're lower budget and poorer construction then movements marked LeCoultre or Jaeger-LeCoultre.

Most of the A. LeCoultre watches I have seen have been for the US market, so calling it a "Jaeger-LeCoultre" product is a bit of a stretch.
