i have just inherited the above watch and have been asked to sell it and spilt the proceeds between my family the watch its self has a gold bracelet (kesten made ) and is (apparently ) one of the first digital watches in which you have to press abutton on the side the watch is in excellent condition (will put pic soon) and has the number a021829 on the back can n e tell me n e thing about this watch n poss value as ive had very diff valuations on it by supposedly experts your help is greatly appreciated ....giggsy |

hi all heres the pic zaf your expert opinion would be appreciated i found this site by pure chance and reading a few posts you seem to be the expert please help if you can ....further info on this watch is very few were made due to the fact that the battery didnt last long and a new way doin it with a longer battery was found so been told not too many of these were made |

If the watch is working properly (i.e. the leds showing the time and the date when buttons pressed), the watch as is with no box papers can be worth 300-400$ I believe. I am afraid it is not too valuable as there is only a niche of potential buyers for this sort of things, and todays value is not in line with the fairly expensive price these early swiss quartz watches had when they hit the market in the 70's. BTW, the watch should have "jaeger Lecoultre" printed on the bottom right corner of the dark red crystal. This was printed on the outside of the crystal, and very often came off over the years from wear or polishing, as it seems to be the case here. |
