I have a futurematic 497. The watch will run for sporadic periods of time ie. 10 minutes, 10 seconds. Shake it and it runs again but eventually stops. Any ideas whatmight be the issue? Thanks

Certainly someone that has worked on one before. If you do not follow the correct procedure to let down the mainspring you can cause serious damage to the watch. Most watchmakers have trouble with the Futurematic the first time they handle it.
