I have visited the site a few times but this is my first post. Any thoughts on this item, currently posted on e-bay? It is number 170105872419. The seller's valuation looks OK to me provided the watch is what it appears. I am relatively new to this game and have only had a couple of successful purchases so far. To my eyes, the dial looks very good (too good?). There is no mention of the buckle but it does have the original glass (this seems unusual but perhaps just good luck). More importantly, what kind of movement is it - and is the movement consistent with the rest of the watch? Perhaps it is possible to tell from the serial/case numbers? One can't be too fussy about some things (let's face it, watches of this age/quality are difficult to find) but on the other hand it is important to avoid any basic errors! Thanks in advance. By the way Zaf are you still collecting serial/case no's for JLC's? I already own a 1956 bumper automatic, I have the details for it if you are still collecting. |

This is a very small watch, ladies size by today's standards. The dial is restored. At most $500-600, 1200 GBP is ridiculous. |

Thank you for your response and for confirming my thoughts about the dial. I will trust your likely valuation on this basis! Any thoughts on what movement it is likely to be, please do share them. Otherwise I will keep an eye on it and see how it goes. best regards. |
