Having recently said that my Memovox was very reliable I have to add that the 4 o'clock crown became loose last week. I took the chance to ask my watchmaker to tell me the seriesnumber of the Cal. 825. Here you go: Movement 16606XX Case 9320XX. I would be grateful if Zaf or Ilja could date the watch (or any other expert on this forum of course). Thank you very much in advance! Yours Christian |

Thank you very much Zaf! If you should need the complete numbers for your book or database please let me know. I would disclose them by private mail. Best regards and have a nice weekend, Christian |

Thanks, but I think I have those years pretty well covered. |

Zaf, just curious. Are you sure this wouldn't be 1966? I trust your numbers more than mine, but I show that 1600000 is about the end of 1965, so that would place a 16606XX serial in 1966 production. Are my numbers off? Greg |

I don't have information that could definitively date a watch that's that fine grained but from what I do have it appears it's late 1965, date of movement manufacture, but it could be early 1966. If it's a matter of a couple of months only JLC will be able to tell for sure, as movements where dated in production "blocks" often a few thousand at a time. |
