Hi there, I came across this forum this morning. Great source of information! I have a question regarding my JLC reverso (circa 1930s). I've had it for a few years now and the face keeps on developing some tarnishing (not sure how else to describe it). Is there any way of avoiding this considering the age of the watch? Does repainting the face impact the value? Appreciate any help or advice!

Unless the dial is a disaster, do not refinish the dial, the watch can easily lose 30% of its value.

Hi Zaf, thanks for the super fast response! Any idea what causes the tarnishing and how to prevent it? Cheers, matt
