Here's an other watch of mine, with the explaination of JLC :

Monsieur,
Le N� 511896 fait partie d�une s�rie num�rot�e de 511202 � 512236 soit 1035 exemplaires d�un mod�le en acier calibre 12��AD.
Ce mod�le ancien n�a pas de r�f�rence.
Je n�ai pas d�autres informations sur ce Num�ro.

The number 511896 came from a serial numbers 511202 to 512236, so 1035 ex. of a steel model with cal. 12 AD.
This old model has no reference.
I don't have others informations about this number.

Is it a screw back case? The e163 I have, is a screw back, serial numbers are about 10,000 higher than 511,000.

No Zaf, no screw back case and the case number is 511896.
