Hello, I just picked up this 14K LeCoultre and thought the dial was pretty neat. Anyone seen one like this before? Thanks! Dirik Lolkus http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y112/DirikLolkus/LeCoultre1.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y112/DirikLolkus/LeCoultre3.jpg |

Yes, and it's one of the nicer ones. I have a similar model with an all black dial and the same movement. Enjoy, gatorcpa |

Gatorcpa, Thanks. Yours has an all black embossed dial? Sounds pretty cool. I think these embossed style dials (which remind me of the old Vacheron Constantin models) give a much classier look to the watch then some of the "exotic" lug case combinations I've seen (ship's wheel and so forth). And...it does not bother me to have a LeCoultre instead of a Jaeger-LeCoultre...same quality movement and I like the idea of owning a U.S.-marketed watch probably worn by some middle manager for cocktails in the mid-50s! I am going to call mine a tuxedo model as it looks pretty dressy. Dirik Dirik |

Mine's not embossed, just glossy black, with gold markers and hands: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y266/gatorcpa/Watch%20Photos/Jaeger-LeCoultre/M yLeCoultre.jpg JLC has confirmed that the movement was produced in 1953. Take care, gatorcpa |
