Thank you so much for this most informative forum. I have tried to find similar watches IDed here, but have not found enough direct confirmation that I am comparing apples to apples. So, if you could help me ID this watch that I inherited upon a dear friend's passing, I would be most appreciative. My suspicion is that this was my friend's father's watch, from around the early 1950s, and not his own actual purchase (unless he bought one used, which I doubt).

The movement ID# is 477644

The case ID# is 425545, and on the inside it says 18K, LC with a pine tree(?) between the L and C, and there is a what appears to be a woman's head medallion, and a key with the number 3 in the tooth. There is also what I assume to be about 6 or 7 watchmaker signatures and dates, the earliest one that seems to be from 1956.

This is the 30mm version.

BTW, as hard as I tried, I could not find any indications as to the movement number. It was just not to be found, but it was stamped Jaeger LeCoultre "swiss".

Dates to approx. 1948, movement is likely a caliber 800...based on the caliber 480. Value, if the dial is refinished (which it appears to be), not too high. Maybe a couple hundred over gold.

Zaf, thanks so much for getting back to me. The dial actually hasn't been refinished. It has faint corrosion spots on it. At certain angles they look like small black specs, but at other angles they look white.

How much of a difference in value might this provide?

Thanks, again!

Maybe a couple hundred more. It's a small diameter watch, those do not fetch a lot.
