Any ideas on what would the dial style would be called, it's almost like a Rolex Linen dial, it's very bright and shiny under the light, nearly blinding in daylight? I de-cased the watch and ultra-sonic cleaned the case in watch cleaning solution, as well as used some Rodico, Peg wood, and a brush to get some of the grime off the dial. Some of the case pics are before the cleaning. The pictures don't really show how shiny and beautiful the dial is in real life. And the camera lighting washed out the striping on the bridges and jeweling on the main plate. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7135/13457985713_efa2a5357e_b.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7166/13457982703_8d09bdd5f8_b.jpg https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3829/13457978933_8cb08b870f_b.jpg https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5022/13457851535_3e0075ff51.jpg https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2859/13458201344_2f96a7dcb8.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7133/13457836525_341a5cf328.jpg https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3706/13457870445_c471e6079b_b.jpg |

How looks like you did a fabulous job. To be honest, I don't know what that precise texture is called! It's not exactly linen as that has a different pattern. I'd call it "Brushed textured dial" but I'm just making that up. I'm sure the Swiss have some fancy name for it. |

Zaf, thanks for the response. And the complement! From the forum archives looks like its a early-mid sixties era. Still just learning, but the wrist watch bug bit me about a year ago. Thanks again! |
