Good day everyone!

I recently came across a vintage JLC and was wondering if any of the more experienced folk would be able to provide more information on it. It's a very dressy-looking two-hand model. Please note that these are the seller's photos, they do not belong to me. Hope the images post ok, for some reason I could only get one photo to work in each preview.

I couldn't locate a serial number on the case back, although there appears to be some numbers engraved on the movement itself: 2219113

Would anyone have information on the following-

- the model name
- the approximate age of the watch
- the type of movement used

Thanks, hope to hear from anyone in the know.

Looks like a caliber 818, probably mid to late 1970s. I have no further information on the watch itself.

Hi Zaf, thanks for the info. I was a bit flabbergasted that there wasn't a serial number visible in any of those photos. I've tried to search through some photos of movements and the shock protection system on the balance wheel looks similar to something called the Cal. 818/3 but there is not a whole lot of information on it. The earlier 818/1 and 818/2 still seem to be more common.

You usually will not see any visible differences between caliber interactions /1 /2, etc. So any info you find will apply.

Checking the caseback, I found two rows of numbers and was wondering if these would shed more light on this watch:

9124.42
1409417

Thanks again Zaf for your expert help.

9124 is likely the case reference with .42 being a variant within, probably the dial color or case material. 1.4M is the case serial number.
