Hi there, I recently inherited this JLC from my grandfather. I've not been able to find out much about it but the family say it was purchased in Australia at the end of the war and pretty much sat in a draw at home ever since. Any ideas?

I'll repeat what I answered at Broadarrow already:
Case is *not* a JLC product, hands were relumed and the crown is not correct for a JLC watch of this period.
Movement is most likely a cal. 469/A and dates 1943/44.
