I recently inherited some watches from my grandfather. most were pretty beat up old pilots watches / nothing special nor functioning, but i also found this amongst the mess. I cannot seem to ID it though/tell if it is legitimate?
any help would be awesome. i have NO information on it. mystery face

Looks fishy. Dial is definitely a repaint. I will need to see a movement shot and a shot of the insides of the case back. Thanks.

yea, funky font choice i haven't otherwise seen... bit scuffed up and lack of care doesn't help in my thinking it to be legitimate but i guess one never knows. very similar to the master mariners of the 60s from what i can tell on the bezel detail, seemingly oversized crystal, etc. little notch for knob is off, though. don't feel quite comfortable popping open the back with a kitchen knife at home, will hope to get some movement shots tomorrow.
