I recently bought this 1970's JLC Memovox from a store in NYC but I can't make out if its authentic or not. - Cal. 916 automatic - 10k gold-filled case and case-back - 37mm case size excluding crowns - crowns are signed - buckle says "1/20 10k G.F."
The guy claims that its authentic and everything is original but I just want to make sure. Thanks. |

And could anyone tell me wether $2000 would be a good price of this watch? Thanks |

Looks real, dial maybe redone. Expensive. I have an all stainless steel one which is worth more than gold filled for $200 less on the web site. |

Why do you say that Stainless Steel is more worth than G.F.? And which is more desirable Cal. 825 or 916? |

Gold filled and gold plate are avoided by collectors as they wear very poorly and will show brassing sooner or later if not already. If you want something gold tone, you should buy solid gold. |
