Hi Zaf, I have recently seen the watch in the attached picture, and am considering purchasing it. I have done some fairly extensive research (without being successful). This is a circa 1960 Jaeger LeCoulter/Cartier co-signed Memovox, 14k yellow (solid) gold, Caliber K825 (auto). The dial is double signed with what seems to be Cartier numbers under the lugs. The condition of the watch looks quite nice (very fine?) I'd like to ask are What do you think of the authenticity of the watch? Any sign of replaced parts/repainted areas? What do you think of its condition? Does it seem over polished? How rare are the LeCoultre/Cartier Memovox watches? Would you happen to have any idea of the production numbers? What is the estimated value of such a watch? I understand that JLC/Cartier's are difficult to find? Is it true that the LeCoultre watches were made in USA while the Jaeger LeCoultre watches were made in Switzerland? Is there a significant difference in production between the Jaeger LeCoultre watches and the LeCoultre watches? Really appreciate your help! Cheers, Adrian

It's definitely a genuine USA market watch, but is there anyway to prove it's a Cartier? I'd say no unless it comes with an original receipt from a Cartier store. As such, I wouldn't necessarily pay a large premium over a watch without the extra paint. Also the crowns have been replaced, some collectors are quite picky about that. |

Were US LeCoultre's made much in 14k Gold instead of gold filled? Hiopefully thats an indication. Also apparently there are Cartier numbers under the lugs, but I've not gotten a picture of that as yet |

Plenty of 14k LeCoultre alarms were made. That would be no indication. There are Cartier numbers on the lugs seen in your photos but without the watch in hand I do not have an opinion on the authenticity. |
