Hi,

I purchased the attached watch because I was so taken by the design and I am having the watch refurbed.

It has dawned on me that I know very little about the watch apart from the 'Le Coultre' branding signifying that it was sold in the US. I believe that it may be an early 60s watch.

It would be great to pick the brains of the better informed and learn a little more about this piece.

The 17 Jewel movement is marked Le Coultre Co Swiss 810/AW with Serial No. 1005939.

The inside of the back case is marked Cased and Timed by Le Coultre 971-114 474737.

All and any insight would be much appreciated.

thanks in advance!!

Matt

Forgot to ask - any sense of value when in mint condition would be great so can insure. Cheers

It dates to 1954/55. I wouldn't worry too much about insurance value as a plated top/steel back watch isn't going to get many collectors excited. Just enjoy it.
