My Jaeger is being repaired. It needs a date thingy which is a big problem (sorry I'm not a watch expert). I would love to know its vintage. I bought it at a duty free shop at Atlanta airport in 1976 & wore it every day for 25 yrs. It is:
Case # 5001.42
Inside 1466323
Movement 2268210
Caliber 901
Jewels 28

What year was it made. Thanks. I have always loved this watch which has served me well.

I don't understand if you bought it new in 1976, isn't that the vintage?

I'm using the word vintage as in what year it was made.

It's not going to be far off from when you bought it, if you bought it new, it may have sat around for a year or two until it sold in 1976.
