I have two, 22k JLC gold coin watches (watch case is 18k & exterior case is a solid 22k gold coin). One of them has a standard 17 jewel movement that is only marked Jaeger LeCoultre and nothing else. The other one (pictured in the post) has a solid gold bracelet and has the P838 movement, 18 jewels & 5 adj. Most of the gold coin watches I have seen have a standard 17 jewel unadjusted movement and very few were made by JLC.
Any guidance on the P838 movement? I can find info on the caliber 838 but not the P838.
The only difference between an 838 and a P838, would be that the P838 has "Parachoc" brand shock protection. So it is structurally the same as an 838 other than the shock protection.
