Hi,
I have today purchased a TINY JLC ladies wristwatch at an auction. It has a circular dial of 15mm diameter and is 5mm in depth. It is stainless steel, has gold numbers on a cream dial and works perfectly. The most distinctive feature is the winding mechanism which is on the back of the watch and protrudes slightly from the left hand side of the base. Because of this I am not inclined to open the back as this involves removing the winder and a tiny screw on the other side. There is a serial number on the base that reads: 536728. It has a brown leather strap that appears to be original.

It really is the prettiest watch but I have been unable to find anything like it anywhere! Can anyone please shed some light on what it might be.

Thanks

Hi. This is what is referred to as a "ladies backwind". They are so pretty, my wife has one!

They're from the 1950s. Parts for these are very hard to find, so take good care of it.
