Hi All: I am in need of a spring which advances the date wheel on cal. K881. It sits right under the dial. Any idea where I can locate one? Thanks, Igor. |

Hi, I have an older JLC Master Mariner in steel with the following numbers Movement serial No. 1925943 and caliber No. K883. There is also a No. on the case which reads E557/1. Could anyone tell me anything about this watch? Approx age and whether it is a good movement etc. cheers Ray |

Ray, a movement serial of 1925943 places it at about 1968. Maybe Ilja can add to the case reference number of E557, he may have some old catalog shots of it. The K833 is a good movement. |

Hi Ray, found the ref. E557 in a 1968 catalog. This model came with at least 4 different dial variants. Diameter is 34mm. Only in stainless steel. Water resistant. Movement: Automatic, cal. 883, 17j,shockprotected, sweep second, antimagnetic, fast date change at midnight. Retail in 1968 - 420 German Marks (about EUR 210) Sorry no scans yet. Ilja |
