Hi, I am new to this forum. I have been considering to purchase my first Jaeger Lecoultre. I was considering to acquire this vintage Jaeger Memovox -Worldtimer. I was wondering if any body can advise if it is genuine? I believe the dial may be refinished. However, to my untrained eye the movement indicates a caliber 825. I've read that it is a variation of the 815 Memovox with date. On previous forum comments, there is mention the alarm pointer should be gold rather than luminous. This seems to check out on this piece. Also the lettering of the cities are not cramped against the outer circle, which appears to be the case with many repros. Cheers Ramen_man

Jaeger-LeCoultre signed dial vs. LeCoultre signed movement with VXN balance bridge... This is a doctored watch. ;) |

Thanks for the confirmation. Considering it's a frankenwatch with JLC and LeCoultre parts would US$1500 be worth forking out? |
