Hi everybody!

My wife inherited her fathers jaeger-lecoultre watch 8 years ago. The model is a futurematic 817.

It has jaeger-lecoultre & futurematic written on the face and 20385 la/59116 engraved on the back.

Can anybody fill me in on any details etc on this watch ie age, history, restoration, value?

Age: Mid to late 1950's

History: See this website
http://www.fortunecity.com/marina/breakwater/13/future.html

Restoration: See Zaf's post
http://www.classicwatch.com/discus/messages/622/11111.html?1169784011

Value: The JLC's are usually more expensive than the US market LeCoultres. Is it steel, gold plated or 18K gold? A lot depends on condition and we would need to see pictures before having any idea of value.

Hope this helps,
