Hi all
This is a great forum, there is not all that much info on vintage JLC.

I have a JLC dress watch with caliber K886, Case number 21007.

I know its from 1967-1970, and don't really care about value. But am most interested to know about the movement itself.

Base on what other movements? related to what family of movements? I know the 885 and 886 are almost identical, except the date. Is there any relation to the 881/882 automatics?

Any info on this family of movements will be welcome since I cant find anything online.

All I can think of it is that it is based off of the Caliber 831, which is 11 1/2 ligne, which is the larger version of the caliber 830/820/819/818 series which is itself based on the 480 all of these are 10 1/2 L.

Ok,
Thank you for your time.

as far as I could find out, 881/2/3/5/6 are all 11.5 ligne with 19800bph, and 56 lift angle. What lead me to think that the 885/6 are the base on which the automatics are built on.
Or the bare movement once the auto module is taken off.

Possible too, since I don't have a photo of the 885/6 anything I am saying is speculation.

Looks a lot like the 480, but larger and more modern construction. It does not look like an 881 w/o auto.
