Hi,

Can anyone help with some info on this watch I inherited? Any idea on Value, model, date of manufacture and opinion on what to do in terms of restoration would be welcome.

It is stainless steel (although the picture looks a bit gold) and the dial has some sort of green corrosion on it. The number on the movement is 377054 and the number on the back of the case is 341443.

Thanks
Paul

One of my favorite watches, it's a 1940s JLC triple calendar, most likely caliber 484.

I don't think the dial is bad enough where you'd refinish it. I specialize in JLC "preservation" to see a work example follow the link below:

For stainless steel ones, value is around $2500 in good running order with no issues.

Thanks for the info. Your restoration looks great. My watch is not running at present but it should be ok with a service. How much would it cost to do a service and restoration?

I am in the UK and would appreciate it if you or anyone could recommend someone here. If not it is possible to send the watch to you from here.

I have heard of three possibilities in England - Chealwatch in Sussex, Antique & Modern in East Barnet and someone called Soni in Wembley(London), any feedback would be great.

Thanks,
Paul
