Through a passing of a family member my mother has come in to possession of what seems to be a 50's JLC Memovox. I can't seem to identify the model, and as I don't have it in my possession I can't see the movement. Please have a look and tell me what you think of this, thanks.

That is the first Memovox model, reference 3150 in steel, crica 1950-51. Movement is caliber 489.

Zaf, you had mentioned in another conversation that the clutch wheels on these early Memovox models may be fragile, in the sense that they may lose teeth. I wasn't quite sure I understood the action to avoid to prevent this damage, could you please clarify? In other words, what action(s) should be avoided to prevent damage to the clutch wheels?

Don't set the alarm while dragging the hands with it. So always set the alarm in the direction where that isn't the case.
