Through a passing of a family member my mother has come in to possession of what seems to be a 50's JLC Memovox. I can't seem to identify the model, and as I don't have it in my possession I can't see the movement. Please have a look and tell me what you think of this, thanks.

That is the first Memovox model, reference 3150 in steel, crica 1950-51. Movement is caliber 489. |

Zaf, you had mentioned in another conversation that the clutch wheels on these early Memovox models may be fragile, in the sense that they may lose teeth. I wasn't quite sure I understood the action to avoid to prevent this damage, could you please clarify? In other words, what action(s) should be avoided to prevent damage to the clutch wheels? |

Don't set the alarm while dragging the hands with it. So always set the alarm in the direction where that isn't the case. |
