Nice watch, I have sold a few like it by I do not have any info in particular. It is a Longines made movement, if you give me the movement serial number I can give you an approximate date.

Longines Pocket chronograph
L 18.72 (stem-winding and setting) / 1944

Longines Records: invoiced on 29th December 1944 to Messrs LONGINES-WITTNAUER in the USA.

Notes: Cal. 18.72 is rather rare. it is little bit smaller than Cal. 19.73.

Movement: Stem-winding and setting; L 18.72; size 39.70 mm, height 6.80 mm; with gold-coated pallet and escapement; marked LONGINES WATCH CO. SWISS 17 jewels, LXW on the balance coc (Longines marking for the USA); Breguet hairspring and bi-metallic balance wheel with timing screws.

Functions: hours, minutes, seconds; single-push chronograph

Operation: stem-winding and setting. all chronograph functions are operated via the winding button.
