This watch was left to me by my uncle. I recognize there are a lot of "knockoffs" on the internet, so when I had the battery replaced, I asked the jeweler if it was real or a knockoff. He told me it was real. So now I want to find out more about it. Gold case. Rectangular (with cut-off corners). Date at 3:00. Gold "ladder" type band. "SWISS MADE" and 30809 on the back cover. Face has the JG logo. Under it are the words "Jaquet Girard" Under that is "Geneve". in the middle of the bottom half is "Quartz", and way down at the bottom, just visible through the crystal is "SWISS MADE". Any idea of vintage or value? I'm guessing the vintage is 1964-1970 as I knew the owner was in Switzerland during that period. Thanks for any help |

Quartz would date it later, say after 1975. It's not collectible, so value is limited to that of the gold really. |
