Does anyone know how old this watch is, what model it is and if it uses a battery? It doesn't seem to wind up so I guess it is battery operated. Any help is appreciated.

The crown screws down onto the case to seal out water. To wind it, you first need to unscrew the crown from the case. Once the crown is unscrewed and pops out, you can wind the watch and then press back in while turning to screw the crown back tight onto the case.

The watch also has a self-winding rotor inside that winds the watch throughout the day while you move your wrist. You'll probably feel or hear it moving inside as you tilt the watch. These are mechanical watches... there is no battery.

I guess it must be broken then, all it does when it is popped out is you turn it forward to change the day and backwards to change the date. Then you pull it out even more to move the hands.

I'd suggest taking it to a jeweler to open it up. I'm not convinced this watch is a real Rolex.

That would be disappointing if it is a fake. It even has that crown on the clasp of the band. Is there anyway I can open it myself or does it need that special tool to hook into those ridges.

You will need the special case back opener.

Rolex doesn't make a President day date in 2 tone. It's a quartz knock off
