I recently purchased a pocket watch. There is no maker shown on the dial. Does that mean the dial has been replaced? Inside is the name of Courvoisier Neuchatel Switzerland. There are no other names shown, such as Borel. The serial no on the "workings" is 129343. There is a tiny date stamped on the part of the case that borders the "workings". It says Dec 7 80. Can you tell me anything more about the watch? Does it have any value? I have attached pics.

Having a blank dial is not uncommon. Value depends on what the case is made of... |

Thank you for your response. The case is not solid gold but gold-filled. I was wondering more about the name Courvoisier appearing without being accompanied by Borel. All the history speaks of Borel Courvoisier. Could the watch be a "knock-off" because of this? |

I don't know about that. There was a lot of cross polination in the Swiss industry in the early days. |
