I have a 18 Kt., Gold Quarter Repeater pocket watch `Courvoisier Freres, `Chaux de Fonds No.63746 on the dust cover. This No., repeats on the inside of the rear cover case as also dust cover. The terms `Courvoisier Freres, `Chaux de Fonds is also repeated on the movement. However, the dial which show sunken seconds does not indicate any name whatsoever. I feel that the dial has been changed for the reasons unknown to me as when I acquired the watch it was as such. I shall be extremely grateful if I am furnished with any furher details of this watch or on the other hand if I am directed to the right place to obtain the same. I am also keen to obtain the original dial of this fine time piece. |

Sounds like you have an impressive collection! I have not been able to easily find info on Courvoiser & Freres, but it appears that they may have merged with Jules Borel around 1860, as there is a brand called Borel & Courvoisier which produced pocket watches. They were based in Neuchatel, so this is just speculation. As far as a dial is concerned, I think it would be pretty much inpossible to find one. It doesn't totally surprise me that the dial isn't signed. What makes you think it is a replacement? |

I have a beautiful Borel courvoisier pocket watch that has been in the family for many years. I unfortunately have no idea who originally owned this time piece in my family. It has been passed down from Grandfather to my father to me. The serial number on the front inside cover accross from the face of the watch is # 53652 The same number is stamped on the back inside cover and on the working mechanics of the watch . It also has the name Neuchatel stamped on the mechanics of the watch. Question how do I find the age and the value of this time piece? |

It's going to be tough. If you post a photo, we can try to guess. |

I have a family pocketwatch from my greatuncle. It's a H.M.S. #165 Hunquenin Courvoisier LOCLE. What's its approximate value? |
