I have a Extra Large `Omega Constellation Chronometer Automatic 18 Kt., Gold. On the dial in the bottom on both sides of words `Swiss Made the terms `O.M is mentioned. I do not understand the significance of this. This watch has Case No.8310 / 270. The movement No.37008202 and Caliber No.711. This watch is adjusted to 2 positions and is of 24 Jewels. The Original Bracelet has No.353.020 on its buckle and No.11 within circle and No.750 below it. i need to know year of manufacture and place of sale as also meaning terms O.M and markings on the buckle. Thank you. |

For the place of sale, only Omega will be able to answer. Lately they've been extremely slow in answering such questions. A 37M serial number would indicate circa 1976. Not sure what the O.M. buckle markings are. Zaf |

I have recently purchased my first vintage watch on EBAY. It is a near mint 1950's era Omega Constellation, no date 14K gold 17 jewel. I paid $855 and the only problem that I have encountered is that after about 4 hours is about 5 mins slow. I can feel the movement when I manually "wind" it to get it started. It is incredibly clean condition wise and am wondering did I strike out in my first purchase? |

Sounds like you need a service. $850 is about what we'd sell something like that for, oiled and timed, with 90 day warranty & return priviledge. Make sure you factor that into your next purchase! For an eBay piece unless you have that kind of assurance I would want to pay $650-700. If you need more info on prices, try our subscription service at http://www.vintagewatchpriceguide.com |
