Hi ZAF, first thanks for your asistance with the Longines I posted a couple days ago. After I recieved your info I sent a photo to the Longines museun curator. He confirmed it as a Longines pocket watch, Caliber 15L manufactured 18 Feb 1888. Thiught maybe this info would be useful to you as you get so many inquiries about watches. Well at least I go the date part right! But seriously, it's a very low jewel count movement. The Longines stuff is normally much higher grade than this. It must have been part of an economy line at the time. |

I agree with the lower grade issue, and mostly just wanted to thank you again and pass on the info. A lot of things I want to find out about watches I can find out just by searching your discussion board. You provide a nice service to us. Jim V |
