I'm the new owner of a stainless steel pillow-shaped Movado watch. The dial is silver or gray. It has baton hour markers and displays the date. The screw on bezel is marked 'Sub-Sea' and has the Kingmatic S logo. There is no indication of the number of jewels. The Movado logo appears under the 12 o'clock marker. Under the center of the watch, above 6 o'clock is two lines of text. The first is "Howes", the second is "Kingmatic Surf". Below the 6 o'clock marker is "Switzerland". Does anyone have any information about this watch? Vintage? Original band type? What "Howes" signifies?   | ||||||

Not sure what Howes signifies, perhaps a retailer's name. This is not an all that poplular type of watch at the moment, it's probably from about 1970 more or less, value will be in the $100-200 range. | ||||||

Hello, Movado Kingmatic Surf is a very good watch. I hadn't seen this stainless steel version. I have a version of late 50s or early 60s in 18k pink solid gold in MINT condition with a very light silver dial (almost white) and markers and logo Movado (M) also in gold. Now I'm wondering if someone could tell me an approximate value for my watch.
