I inherited a Gruen Veri-Thin Rose Gold Watch from my gradnparents. It has been my good luck charm for years. However, I can't seem to find anyone in my location (Kansas City) who has experience with appraising or history on these watches. Any help?

Hello Deborah,
You didn't mention whether your watch was a man's model or a ladies'. While vintage men's timepieces have a great deal of collector interest, and therefore solid value, women's models do not generally have the same interest and therefore an 'appraisal' value may be relatively low. There are some rose gold Gruen ladies' models that were set with large diamonds and rubies, and these watches obviously have greater value than watches with no stones. If you could provide a picture of your watch, we can provide additional information.
Best,
Don

Also, next to each Gruen Watch on the site, if you click on the manufacurer name, "Gruen Watch" you will be shown a nice history on the brand.

I inherited a Gruen watch. It is a pocket watch and says 17 ruby jewels Adjusted 5 positions. On the paper it also has a date written on the bottom of it. 2-6-18 Anyone have any idea what it may be worth?
